Yulia Andropova - Integrative Counsellor (Adults, young people & children)
Welcome! I am a qualified Integrative Child and Young People Counsellor and an advanced trainee Adult Existential Psychotherapist. As a bilingual therapist, I offer sessions in both English and Russian, providing a safe, nurturing, and confidential space.

Prior to my counselling training, I worked with neurodivergent children and their families as a graduated psychologist for over 8 years. This experience led me to extensive learning in counselling and psychotherapy and to offer therapeutic approaches across a broader range of issues for children, young people, and adults.

I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with neurodiverse experiences, addressing a wide range of issues including anxiety, panic attacks, depression, stress, low self-esteem, and relational difficulties.

In my work with adults, I am particularly drawn to the existential analysis approach which assists in constructing an authentic way of being and finding meaning and fulfillment in life in alignment with personal values.

In my work with children, I base my practice on knowledge of attachment theory, Gestalt therapy, neuroscience, and the use of arts.

Using art in therapy can be incredibly beneficial, especially for those who struggle to articulate their feelings and thoughts. Through the use of art media - such as sand trays, clay, puppets, and drawing - individuals can express their thoughts and feelings and gain insights to better understand and make sense of their emotions and life experiences. This approach is particularly powerful when working with children as they are naturally driven towards play and creativity.

I offer both open-ended therapy and short-term therapy, depending on the needs of each individual client. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I abide by their code of ethics and practice, ensuring confidentiality, regular supervision, and ongoing professional development.

Feel free to reach out to arrange an initial meeting where we can discuss your aims and explore options for working together.
