Gary Symington - Counsellor (Adults & young people 16+)
I am a qualified Counsellor with a passion for fostering an inclusive and empathic approach to mental health. I recently completed my training in Person-Centred Therapy where I honed my skills in guiding individuals towards their own solutions, placing their autonomy at the heart of their therapeutic journey.

My commitment to neurodiversity stems from my own profound journey of personal development and healing. Having navigated the challenges of self-discovery, I understand the importance of embracing and celebrating our uniqueness.

This lived experience is not just a part of who I am: it's an invaluable asset that I bring to our sessions fostering a genuine connection and understanding.

I remember what it's like to be in your shoes, scrolling through countless profiles in search of the right Counsellor. It's a vulnerable and courageous step and I'm here to make that process a little easier. Beyond the conventional approach of providing advice I am here to walk alongside you, offering support and guidance as we work collaboratively to empower you on your journey.

My hands-on experience working with a wide range of clients has reinforced my belief in the power of compassionate listening and the significance of creating a safe space for every unique voice to be heard.

This diverse experience has honed my ability to navigate the complexities of human emotions with empathy and compassion.

As a proud member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to ethical standards and ongoing professional development. My dedication to creating a neurodiverse-friendly therapeutic space means that I am committed to understanding and embracing the diverse ways in which individuals experience and express themselves.

I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey towards healing, self-discovery, and empowerment.
