Gareth Eglinton-Pacitti - Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor (Adults & young people 13+) 
Hello, I'm Gareth, an Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor with over twelve years of experience. I work with people looking to improve their emotional well-being, build healthier relationships, make life easier, and move forward from the past. I provide a solution-focused and compassion-based service that is relaxed, safe, and productive. Sessions are held in Olney, by video call or via phone with online session booking and payment options available. 
I am trained to work with many issues including: 
Anxiety – Many of us deal with overwhelming feelings of worry and stress that can make it difficult to live the life we want. I can help you understand and manage anxiety using a combination of CBT, talking therapy and other evidence-based techniques that recognise our individual experiences and needs. 
Depression – Persistent sadness and the sense of emptiness that comes with feeling low can be isolating and make it difficult to see a way out. Together we can uncover the roots of your feelings, why it’s happening, and find a path forward and a way out towards emotional well-being. 
Trauma – A single event or ongoing experience that leaves you feeling scared, isolated and trapped. Therapy offers space to understand your unique experience, process difficult emotions, develop coping skills, and reclaim your sense of control. 
Relationship Challenges – You may be navigating conflicts with partners, family members or friends. Together we can explore communication patterns, enhance interpersonal skills and build healthier connections. 
GSRD (Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity) – I provide affirming support and understanding of queer and non-heteronormative ways of living and being, including LGBTQ+ issues, ethical non-monogamy and alternative lifestyles. 
During therapy, I will help you: 
Develop Coping Mechanisms – We will explore strategies to navigate challenges more effectively. We will work towards cultivating self-awareness, developing resilience and improving communication skills. 
Explore Identity and Self-Discovery – I can help you gain a deeper understanding of who you are, what you value and how you want to shape your life. 
Set and Achieve Goals – Together we can look at a future where you can navigate challenges with resilience and experience greater peace of mind. We will also set and achieve milestones that align with your values, passions, and long-term aspirations. 
I establish an open and secure environment for you to express yourself freely and candidly, while nurturing your vulnerability and motivating you to push your boundaries for personal development. My approach is rooted in active listening, deep understanding, and the systematic use of evidence-based techniques and practical tools to support your growth. I have a wide toolbox of techniques underpinned with theoretical knowledge so that we can find out what works best for you. Everyone is different and therapy should be adaptable to your individual needs and preferences.
