Eloise Stapleton - Trainee Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Hi, I'm Eloise and I'm a trainee counsellor and psychotherapist offering low-cost counselling. I am working under the supervision of The Institute of Psychosynthesis where I am training.

Contemplating therapy is a brave thing to do: if you have never tried talking therapy it might seem daunting. I provide a warm, judgment-free space for us to build a rapport and explore whatever you would like to bring to therapy. You do not have to embark on this journey alone; I will walk alongside you at your own pace.

There are many reasons why people seek out counselling: life can throw curveballs at us and we sometimes feel a bit lost in the world and even lost to ourselves. Whether you find yourself in a crisis, if life just feels a bit too much, or you are frustrated by habits or patterns of behaviour, please know that there is no one "right" reason to come to therapy - it's all valid.

The modality I work with is Psychosynthesis, a holistic psychology that considers the whole person. Psychosynthesis does not view humans as a set of symptoms to be cured or a problem to be fixed. In Psychosynthesis we will consider both your history and your aspirations. We will explore the harder, messier aspects of life – aspects that we often shy away from – as a way to unburden yourself. We look at these difficult things in order to create some awareness of how they impact us so that we can make a shift towards living in new, freer ways and discover and explore things in life that bring joy.

My background is in scientific research and providing research management support to scientists. I came to this work as a trainee counsellor via my own journey of self-exploration in therapy.
