Doma Tamang - Trainee Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist (Clients age 16+)
Hello, I’m Doma, a trainee working towards a master’s degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. With a background as a Teaching Assistant, I've gained valuable experience working with children and young adults in a school environment. Additionally, I've supported 11-16 year-olds as an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA). My previous experience - coupled with my current training - has given me a robust foundation from which to begin work as a Counsellor with adults over the age of 16.
I’ve chosen an integrative course for my practice because I believe that blending different approaches - such as Humanistic, CBT and Psychodynamic - will help me to find the right balance to tailor sessions according to my clients’ needs. Each individual is unique and I think integration provides the flexibility and exploration necessary: something which aligns with my personal values.
I offer a judgement-free space with deep empathy where we can explore your thoughts and feelings together. I will hold a safe space for you to express yourself comfortably. You are invited to take the first step towards positive change by reaching out.
I am registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and adhere to their ethical standards.
