Alison Pavitt - Integrative Counsellor (Children & young people)
Please note that Alison is not currently accepting new clients.

Hi, my name is Alison and I am an integrative children’s counsellor. I have worked with young people for over twenty years as a teacher and more recently as a counsellor. I have a degree in psychology, am a qualified primary school teacher and have a Master's degree in counselling children and young people (MSc Counselling Children and Young People – University of Northampton). I have worked with young people experiencing difficulties such as ADHD, anxiety, ASD, bereavement, depression, identity, obsessions, relationships, siblings of children with SEN, school issues and refusal, self-confidence, self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal ideation, stress, and others.

I offer 1-1 sessions for children and young people. As an integrative counsellor I have been trained to incorporate therapy from person centred, CBT, creative and play modalities among others. My range of counselling methods and experience means I am well placed to tailor sessions to your needs. I offer a calm, supportive environment and will work with you to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. Sessions can be talking or - if you find it difficult to put things into words - we can use more creative options. Sessions are under your control and we will explore things together in a safe, non-judgemental way.

I am registered with the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) and adhere to their ethical standards.
