Kerry Cusack - Integrative Counsellor (Adults & young people 12+)
My name is Kerry Cusack and I am an integrative humanistic therapist. I qualified as a counsellor in 2018 and have over five years of post-qualification experience with a broad range of clients and presenting issues. I work with clients on a one-to-one basis and facilitate reflective practice groups. I am also a Clinical Assessor with the BodhiSpace Central Team, responding to initial requests for support and conducting telephone assessments to enable me to align you with a therapist in our team, based on your specific needs.

I wholeheartedly believe in empowering my clients to seek out the answers and truths they need and are ready for, to overcome challenges faced, and connect to the courage to work through pain; sometimes pain that may have been held for many years. I draw upon different models of counselling to suit individual needs while keeping the relationship between myself and my clients at the heart of my practice. I incorporate elements of CBT and TA (Transactional Analysis) as appropriate and work creatively to help clients reach new insights.

When given a safe and supportive environment I believe that we all have the strength and resources we need within us, and my aim and commitment to my clients is to facilitate this journey by promoting a warm, non-judgmental and non-threatening space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences in safety. I will be alongside you each step of the way.

I have a Foundation Degree in Counselling and I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I work with both adults and young people (from 12 years old) and have experience of working with anxiety, trauma, OCD, neurodiversity, shame, bereavement, abuse, self-harm, low self-esteem and more.
